Memorial fund in Honor of Heidi Printz
The Heidi Printz Abortion Access Fund honors the legacy and work of Heidi as a fierce and compassionate advocate and provider of reproductive health services. She stood up for what was right, fearlessly, with integrity and love. She advocated loudly for women’s health and rights. She led teams with compassion and tackled problems with both intellect and creativity. From Planned Parenthood and OHSU locally, to public health organizations and universities, she truly made a difference in people’s lives. She brought the concept of an abortion fund to Planned Parenthood of the Columbia-Willamette and started its first fund in the early 2000’s. The Heidi Printz Abortion Access Fund will help people pay for their abortion care in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Alaska as part of the Northwest Abortion Access Fund. Her foresight and tenacity ensured anyone who wanted safe and compassionate abortion care could get it. Many benefited. Many more will as a result of Heidi’s love through this legacy fund.
